The year is 2046 – and Doomsday has been and gone on the planet known to its population as Earth. With the destruction of several nuclear silos across various countries – America being hit the hardest due to its mass storage of the substances – by several terrorist factions from around the globe; most of society has been forced to rebuild and rethink their strategies and ways of life.

It was only a matter of time until a new form of weapons technology surfaced to take the place of nuclear warheads and their ilk.

At the forefront of the new technology stood Kunimoro Kagami, a Japanese Researcher and long time Advanced Robotics Engineer. While his advancements proved incredible, the beginning designs were roughly assembled and meagre compared to previous advancements in war; and so the advancement in robotics was buried amongst other more ‘important’ business.

This would not be the last that was heard of Engineer Kunimoro’s work though…

The research later resurfaced when a British Scientist – Richard Evans – attained the original designs of Kunimoro for his robotic advances – codenamed Project ARK by the English Military. Richard later became famously known as the Father of the SPG (Solar Powered Generator,) a high powered and compact adaptation of previous technology that is being used as Project ARK’s main power source to this day.

But this would not be the end of the combined effort of the world in Project ARK.

France was the next country to provide a superior mind to the project – Anne Brun; later known as the Mother of Modernised Weaponry, incorporated the SPG’s power capabilities with her own research to create most of all the Weaponry advancements currently used by Project ARK. She was especially famous for the Rail-Gun armament – a giant ARK Tank-Class mounted weapon that shot a highly charged electrical pulse that was capable of shredding armoured plating and mountains in moments.

Though shredding the current armour plating wasn’t all that impressive a feat – at least until…

German Metal Worker Eugen Oesterreicher rose up to fix the problem relating to armoured plating – and the complete frame after it had been found insufficient to house the higher spec armaments and generators. While his composition of materials and ending work hadn’t been noted for its resistance to ballistics styled weaponry, its capabilities to absorb and redirect large amounts of charge while holding its own weight made it the choice outer shell for both light and heavy class ARK.

Despite this higher level of armour plating that was possible – Project ARK still had little chance o true combat use. It was simple too slow for any pilot caught off guard to stand a chance.

Until Russian Physics Engineer Gregory Rasputin took the ideas of the English and the French and produced some of the most compact rocket engines to date – being small enough to outfit any class of Mech with enough power to allow basic flight for small durations of time and increased movement speed over set distances. Project ARK was finally prepared to be mobilised for full battle use.

And that’s when the whole world went back to its predetermined old ways – temporary alliances shattered, ideas and plans were stolen and modified, and war between the large and small countries began once again. The world is once again at war – A war of giant machines that have taken the fighting from the sea and the land to the skies above. The question is; will you fight for a countries believes? Become a mercenary?

Maybe even become one of the terrorists that had once brought the world to its knees?
